What technology is available for the group/seminar rooms?
Answer
Seminar A and B each have a large monitor on which you can share your screen from your own device using the Barco ClickShare USB dongle. Seminar B also includes a projector.
Follow the directions below to use ClickShare. For troubleshooting, go to ClickShare Support or ask for assistance at the main desk.
- Turn on the monitor (with remote or by pressing power button on bottom right of monitor)
- Change the input on the monitor, if needed, to HDMI2 by pressing the button just below and to the left of the power button on the remote
- Connect your device to WiFi if not already
- Plug in the Barco ClickShare dongle to a USB port on your device
- Open File Explorer
- Select ClickShare (D:) on the left side of the window (below the Local Disk)
- Select the file ClickShare then open (double click) ClickShare for Windows
- Press the button on the dongle to start sharing your screen (the Barco USB connection light will turn red and your screen will be mirrored onto the monitor)
When Finished Screensharing:
- Press the button on the dongle (its light will turn from red to white)
- Open File Explorer
- Right click ClickShare (D:) on the left side of the window (below the Local Disk)
- Select Eject
- Remove USB dongle from your device
- Turn on the monitor (with remote or by pressing power button on bottom right of monitor)
- Change the input on the monitor, if needed, to HDMI2 by pressing the button just below and to the left of the power button on the remote
- Connect your device to WiFi if not already
- Plug in the Barco ClickShare dongle to a USB port on your device
- Open Finder
- Select ClickShare on the left side of the window (under "Locations")
- Double click ClickShare for MacOSX app
- Press the button on the dongle to start sharing your screen (the Barco USB connection light will turn red and your screen will be mirrored onto the monitor)
When Finished Screensharing:
- Press the button on the dongle (its light will turn from red to white)
- Open Finder
- Right click ClickShare on left side of the window (under "Locations")
- Select Eject
- Remove USB dongle from your device
- Turn on the monitor (with remote or by pressing power button on bottom right of monitor)
- Change the input on the monitor, if needed, to HDMI2 by pressing the button just below and to the left of the power button on the remote
- Download the Clickshare App using the QR code on the screen
- Connect to the Wi-Fi network on the screen using the password wtlibrary
- Follow the instructions on the app to share your screen
NOTE: While using the Clickshare App, you cannot be connected to campus Wi-Fi. Your device will need a data connection in order to use any internet-based apps.
