Will WT always have access to [whichever specific ebook] that it has right now?

Answer

If an ebook is included in our catalog, we expect our access to it to continue indefinitely, very plausibly lasting for years into the future. This is subject to two crucial conditions:

  1. The publisher's ongoing decision to continue offering it on that platform. In almost all cases, publishers retain the right to withdraw a work from availability at any time, although in practice, the likelihood of this happening with any given title is very low.
  2. The renewal of any subscription package that might include the title. Of the half-million ebooks we have access to, the vast majority are through database/package subscriptions. We will always try to renew valuable subscriptions. If we (or the state's TexShare program) find it necessary to cancel any subscription, we will communicate that as soon as we can. Otherwise, you can expect any subscription to continue.

Within those conditions, you can expect any ebook in our catalog to remain, even if we can't know the future with full certainty.
